Incredibly satisfying combat
Zipping through the air, slashing at a Titan’s nape with sharp blades, and watching the Titan fall to the ground is a satisfying experience that Attack on Titan - Fan Game gets right. The game’s offline mode also got a big boost, making it easier to switch characters, and there are a lot more skins available.
Exploring the maps feels fresh with remastered layouts, updated visuals, and improved lighting that make familiar locations feel more alive. In addition, adjustments to the ODM gear have been made, making it now smoother and easier to control. Swinging around and dodging titans is made more satisfying than before. Fans will also be excited by the return of speed-running mode, offering a fast-paced, high-intensity challenge.
Crossovers and new missions add even more thrill. You can now play as Luffy from One Piece, which is a fun and unexpected twist. Players can also now jump into a mission that has you fending off nearby titans and protecting Eren as he hauls a boulder to plug a wall hole. For those hoping for substantial improvements, 2.0 doesn’t disappoint.
Unpolished but otherwise fun
Players can’t expect Attack on Titan - Fan Game to have the same polish as premium games have. It’s rough around the edges, but what it accomplishes remains commendable considering how it was created. The combat is satisfying, and the graphics are decent.
